Since the age of 13, she has been working closely in organizations like the Canadian Red Cross, Jagriti Child and Youth Concern Nepal, National Youth Council, SDGs Studio, Ujyalo foundation, and Visible Impact in the field of women empowerment, gender equality, and menstruation.

She had begun volunteering in psychosocial counselling at the time of the earthquake. She had witnessed the plight of women at that time which had inspired her to work in the field of women’s empowerment. In 2018, she had worked on a menstruation initiative as part of a program that required her to form teams and complete a project. They began sharing personal accounts of people’s first menstrual periods.

Aside from that, she has presented menstruation-related programs in various schools and villages across the country. She has provided psychosocial workshops to teachers and community health workers. Dipisha has also organized self-defence events to empower girls.

With the concept of “You can be the Change-maker”, Dipisha inspired herself. She has been involved in different projects related to mensuration. Later, Dipisha launched an organization called, “Cherubic” to promote mental health. Also, she has been raising her voice for menstrual health & hygiene through a podcast or different social mediums. Dipisha has initiated big steps to make people aware. This initiative has reached across the country and has impacted millions of teenagers.

Currently, she is a board member at NePals Dynamic Groups and a project lead for Nepal at NIDISI, a German-Nepalese NGO, where they are collaborating on the development of biodegradable sanitary pads made from banana fibers and equipment and manufactured in Nepal using self-developed techniques to address the current issue of period poverty through an ecological innovation in Nepal.

She works as a Youth Campaigner for the Nepalese Association of Youth Organizations, encouraging more young people to participate in good governance and democracy. She created a Child-Friendly Environment through her work and efforts, which included educating orphanage children about their rights, rescuing abused girls, and teaching about menstrual health and hygiene.

Today through her work, Dipisha is inspiring thousands of young people to be a change-maker. Her work and initiative has reached over thousands of people across Nepal. Thus, today, she was awarded “Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs Award 2020” for her outstanding achievements. Her dedication and enthusiasm for positively impacting society have recognized her as one of Glocal’s 20under20 of 2018. She is also a Young Feminist Champion at Visible Impact, where she has been engaged in advocacy for the inclusion of marginalised youths in the Beijing +25 and generation Equality forum-related processes.
